How it works
I can’t wait to hear your story and about the proposal, but how does it all work?
Having an independent celebrant means we’ll have the freedom to create a totally personal and unique ceremony to celebrate your wedding, renewal of vows or commitment. It is your celebration, your day, your way! There are so many possibilities and elements for your ceremony.
Your first step is to get in touch so we can arrange a date for your free consultation, which will be a light hearted chat about you, your vision and ideas. Importantly, it is an opportunity to ask questions and to see if I am the celebrant for you.
Once you’re happy to go ahead, I will email you a pack, containing your booking form, contract and GDPR documentation.
Once I receive these completed with your deposit, the date is yours. I will not take another booking for that day.
Included in your pack will be your couple’s questionnaire. This is the fun bit where I really get to know you and your vision! From this, and our initial meeting, I will write the draft of your ceremony script. This will bring together your chosen music, vows, readings and any symbolic elements & rituals you have decided to include in your ceremony. I will send this to you for any amendments or additions to ensure you are totally happy with it.
I will also send information regarding Symbolic Elements and Rituals you may want to include in your ceremony, I would highly recommend choosing up to two.
I am happy to meet to discuss these in further detail and answer any questions. I am also here to help you create your vows and advise on readings – most couples like to write their own vows and choose up to two readings for family or friends, but if you need any support, I’m here.
I’m with you all the way and will ensure I check in here & there, but be assured you can contact me too.
We will catch up one month before the date to confirm any final arrangements for your day, ensure the balance has been paid and agree any final changes to your ceremony script.
On the day, I will arrive early, introduce myself to all appropriate parties and ensure I am ready to deliver your special ceremony. So, one less thing for you to worry about!
